MC Serch | Get A Passport

Peace, I hope this blog finds you in good health and spirits. Shouts to everyone that has hit me on my number, 313-879-2793. YES IT'S REAL AND YES I CALL BACK. I do my best to call you and leave messages when you don't pick up but I do my best. I am very blessed to have a lot of people out there that want to talk to me and I want to talk to you.So, I think you guys are smart enough to know where I am going with this. Why not travel? Why not just get out of Dodge and go someplace foreign? A lot of you think its based on your bread. I would love to agree but that is incorrect. A lot of you will blame that fact that you don't know where to go, and once again I would have to disagree. Here is what I think the issue is, a lot of you, not all but a lot of you, are shook to leave something you are familiar with. Many of us feel strange going to a different part of town so thinking about going overseas is just bananas to you. This is a form of slavery. You might not know it but it is form of location slavery. You feel like if you leave that you will not be able to be seen the same or be viewed the same as you did when you left, and you know what, that is the way it should be. I had on some gentleman from France who were in Detroit to do an article for their magazine, Rap Mag. As they interviewed me I could not help but want to ask them a question even more then they wanted to ask me. When I got the chance I actually did it on the radio. I asked them what the feeling was in France about America since President-Elect Obama was given the keys to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. They said something that struck me as eye openinig. They said that "America has now been welcomed back into the fold of the global community. For 8 years we were wondering what you were doing and now you have finally showed the world that you are ready to be welcomed back as global citizens". To break this down it means that the world hated our effing guts since Bush was in the White House (No surprise there huh?). Now we are getting love around the world. People see the crisis we are now in starting to turn for the better. This is why I say now is the perfect time to travel. Here are three great reasons to go and see the world as soon as possible:
1-TRAVEL IS MAD CHEAP RIGHT NOW. I mean, you should not look at prices between Thanksgiving and New Years, but just go on Kayak.com or Orbitz and put in two coach tickets and hotel to France in January. The weather is much like it is here, chilly and rainy but it is the City of Lights, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I just went on these sights and saw for a weekend to France, and just so you know for those who have not made the trip, it is about 4 hours flight time from the east coast and about 9 house for the west cost, the cost for two tickets and hotel was 599. THAT'S IT. 600 hundred bucks and you are in this beautiful country eating the best food in the world, seeing the Eiffel Tower and going to the Louvre, the most beautiful museum in the world, home of the Mona Lisa. Or you can go to London, two tickets with hotel for 3 nights for 599. People go and get a passport. Go and get out of this box we live in and see something other than your block. Oh and will need about 150 dollars in spending cash or put it on your credit card. France and London have some of the best public transportation in the world and much of the city is walking distance anyway.
2-EUROPEANS LOVE US RIGHT NOW, ESPECIALLY BLACK PEOPLE. Let's just say you are single and looking for some fun, well if you go to let's say OSLO, Norway, black people are treated like GODS LOL. They love dark skin over there and the most beautiful white skinned people you have seen, some of them looking like movie stars will worship the ground you walk on for the entire time you are there. My DJ was so bombarded with hot blondes hitting on him that he was scared to leave his room LOL. This is not just for the men as dark and brown skinned women are equally wanted in the lighter parts of the world. Go and get you Jungle Fever on, it's ok for a weekend and you will make an international My Space friend in the meantime. In fact I bet a lot of you already have people overseas that you have made friends with which leads me to my third reason
3-WE LIVE IN A GLOBAL COMMUNITY. All of these social networks give you the opportunity to become friends with people in other countries. Go and visit them and see what's popping with them on their side of the fence. They will be able to take you to all the great places to eat, chill, dance, smoke (Or whatever you vice is), and be a part of a larger social community then you could have ever imagined. Many of the people that I met on tour I still communicate with to this day. Don't be shook my good people. Don't look at this as a waste of money that could go to the rent or the car note. This is bigger than that. The note and the rent has been late before and it will be late again. Start a small fund, your travel fund. Every check and every week instead of a coffee or a Big Mac, put that money in your travel fund. Book your flight and get out of town. It will make you global and in the process, make you more human. One L, Serch.

Kanye West Says He's 'Voice Of This Generation'

Kanye West is to music what Michael Jordan was to basketball, at least that's what West thinks, in his humble estimation. "I realize that my place and position in history is that I will go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade, I will be the loudest voice," he said in an interview on Wednesday. "It's me settling into that position of just really accepting that it's one thing to say you want to do it and it's another thing to really end up being like Michael Jordan." The Grammy-winning rapper-producer said Justin Timberlake had a chance to be music's MVP, but hasn't put out enough material. (Timberlake's last album was in 2006, while West released a CD last year and is releasing his latest "808s & Heartbreak" on Nov. 24.) "There were people who had the potential to do it but they went on vacation, so when Justin went on vacation I made albums," he said. "And it just came out to be that." West, 31, said life has been difficult since his mother's death. Donda West died last November after having plastic surgery. "I'm just going through balancing that. And I always used to have that support system, you know. My mom would be there; no matter what, she was there before everything," he said. "We were together for like 30 years. And you know now when I'm on that stage and I look out and I say, 'What am I going to do with the rest of my life?' Like when does a real life start?' Because I have sacrificed real life to be a celebrity and to give this art to people, which is great. It is great that I was able to do that, I'm not trying to shun that in any way, but it's definitely a Catch-22 and it's bittersweet." Peep Also: Kanye Arrested, Cleared
